ACADEMICS:
The Training branch of CATI actively assists all schools in maintaining training standards and fostering coordination with HQCAA. Additionally, it plays a pivotal role in preparing and implementing the annual training plan and calendar events like Experience Sharing Platform (ESP) and Continuing Professional Development (CPD as per byelaws of PEC) at CATI. Beyond its internal focus, the section also engages in extensive coordination with corporations and foreign organizations for conducting their personnel training at CATI. As per ICAO standards, this section assists HQCAA (Headquarters CAA) in coordinating universities and other institutes for the preparation of MoUs. This approach is geared towards maximizing the benefits derived by CATI, ensuring that the training programs align with global aviation standards, and facilitating fruitful collaborations within the broader aviation community. In addition, CATI Training Section holds Academic Council Meetings (ACM) on an as and when required basis. CATI Academic Council comprises four (04) Chiefs of Schools and Additional Directors (Academics) as Secretary CAC under the presidentship of Director CATI to concur important issues/courses.
- TPM (Training and Procedures Manual): Training and Procedures Manual has been developed to fulfill the obligatory requirements of Authorized Training Organization (ATO) and to describe training activities at CATI. it contains policy guidelines and describes procedures and processes involved in conducting trainings. Civil Aviation Training Institute is open for the regulatory surveillance of Licensing Branch, HQCAA which ensures that the institute fulfills ATO requirements and operates in line with the scope and procedures as described in the Manual. Training and Procedures Manual is developed in compliance with Appendix-2 of ICAO Annex-1 and National Regulations.
- ATP (Annual Training Plan): CATI ATP (Annual Training Plan) is a document that contains the school-wise list of all courses that are planned to be conducted in a calendar year. This plan is issued before the start of a calendar year. However, it is being considered to develop CATI ATP on a financial year basis. HOSTEL / MESS:
The prime responsibilities of Hostel/ Mess are to provide clean, peaceful, comfortable stay, and providing balanced and hygienic food to the trainees during course.
